Fragmentary

When we deny parts of ourselves, we disconnect to those parts, and in effect, we become fragmentary.

This is why, we show up differently in different aspects of our lives. And in effect, feel unwhole.

One of the tricks I learned to understand something is to associate words of similar meanings. Fragmentary means similar to incomplete, broken, incoherent, inconsistent. deficient, damaged. Ultimately, it means, lacking some necessary part.

When we wear masks, lie, pretend, fake. When we deny the truth of who we are, what we did or how we feel - in essence, we are abandoning ourselves. That's why we yearn for more because we are not fulfilled. When we are not true, we are not whole.

This is a lesson I have learned and are witnessing in others. I understand that to be whole means not skipping the nasty bits. And to be true means not wearing a mask and convincing others that it is real.

We cannot divide ourselves in categories and act differently with each.

When we abandon ourselves, we are split, misaligned. This is why we don't get the results we want in our lives.
